Visit Tulisoma this Weekend

Tulisoma means ‘we read’ in Swahili.

This annual program is designed around literacy and offers artists and vendors a chance to engage with literacy enthusiasts. The Tulisoma festival will occur in sunny South Dallas from August 24th-26th at the African American Museum and surrounding South Dallas cultural venues. Currently scheduled is a book talk, community and children’s breakfast, a poetry slam, workshops and so much more. Patrons have an opportunity to meet with authors for personal one on one interaction and discussions about their future products.

Be sure to visit the Demarcus Jones booth to purchase new products and for your chance to win free products.

Visit for more information on festival schedule as well as information on the authors and vendors that will be present.
